The Many Names of God

Different groups of humans, in their desire to please, placate and influence what they believe is their one true God, with a specific, single name (take your pick from the list above) develop religious ceremonies, writings and procedures, honoring and praising that God-name.

In reality, there is only one God, creating all, being all.

The fact that humans believe, in their conceits and fragile egos, that the single name that they choose to honor as the only appropriate name for God (along with human-created dogmas surrounding that name), generates horrible conflicts between the various religious sects on Earth.

God is spirituality.
God is spirit.
God did not create the various religions on Earth.
Different groups of humans did this.

Jesus did not create Christianity.
Abraham did not create the Muslim faith or Christianity.
Nor have any of the other blessed people, children of God and prophets who have followed.

Different groups of human followers, desperate to document what they felt were sacred procedures, leading them to an afterlife with their God, did this.
Unfortunately, in their fervor to adore God with their version of their faith, some religions and their followers have concluded that if other people outside of their religious group do not believe exactly as they do, and do exactly as they do, then those other people deserve death, rather than life.  Because they have chosen a different name of God from the list above, with its different ceremonies, words, songs, dances and beliefs.

Does it make sense that an All-Powerful, All-Knowing God would favor those who danced a certain dance, or who uttered certain words, or who engaged in certain ceremonies over other humans?

If God is Love, then where in that definition is room for the religious wars in which humans have engaged each other for thousands of years in the name of the very God that they say they revere?

And do you humans really believe that killing and harming other humans and living things in one or another name of God, actually pleases, placates and influences the omniscient God?   Do you, in your human egos, really believe that you have the power to do anything that will result in God doing something especially for you, as if you can make a “deal” with God: that by killing so many people who do not believe as you do, that you will be assuring your place in Heaven, Paradise, or whatever you wish to call an afterlife?

Humans really need to think about this.

Does this make sense?
(killing others in the name of a God who is love? Who is Creation?  Who is positive?)

Do your human-created dogmas really matter that much to you and are your beliefs so delicate that when challenged by the beliefs of others that the only way you and your dogmas can survive is by destroying other creative people who have thought of things in a different manner than  you?

Is that what you believe as living in a God-like manner?

And what is God?
Love.
Creativity.
Constructivity.

Is what you are doing consistent with God-like properties?

Think.
Act positively in a loving way.
Be constructive.
Be spiritual (not necessarily of any specific religion).
